Finding Your Individuality is a space for people to communicate and learn about healthy boundaries, relationships, communication, decision making, sexual health, gender, sexual orientation, abuse & prevention, and supports for survivors. We deliver individual and group education and counseling to individuals across the lifespan and specialize in programming for youth and adults with learning differences, such as intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We recognize the importance in working in partnership with parents and caregivers to address the sexuality related questions, concerns, and interests that can arise from youth. Throughout the year we will host informational sessions with topics suggested by caregivers and parents. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and concerns around the topic to guide the discussion! We hope you will join us for our upcoming event!
Preparing for Life Transitions
January 3, 2018 at 7:00-8:30pm
Throughout life we face a possibility of different transitions such as puberty, beginning to date, going to a different school, graduate, starting a job, or live independently from caregivers. Youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities often benefit from being prepared for these and other transitions of life. In this session we will discuss approaches to communicate about life’s transitions.
Registration is required. $10 registration includes light refreshment.
